Sheep Farm

Run Ben's flock end to end: feed, shear, buy, sell, and work the wool through three units.

Sheep Farm — free online farm game

Sheep Farm

This is a management game with an unusually complete production chain for a browser title. You feed and shear the flock, buy and sell animals at market, restock feed and medicine, and then process what you collect through three separate units: wool cleaning, yarning and dyeing.

Because each of those steps takes time, the interesting decisions are about sequencing. Sending raw wool straight to the dyeing unit is wasted capacity, and letting animals go unfed while you fuss over processing costs you the input the whole chain depends on.

You play as Ben, who is employed to keep the place running. The framing is small and personal rather than empire-building, and the game is better for it — the scale stays comprehensible throughout.

Controls

Mouse or touch to select animals, tools and market stalls.

How to Play

  1. Feed the flock and keep medicine in stock.
  2. Shear the animals when their wool is ready.
  3. Send wool through cleaning, then yarning, then dyeing.
  4. Trade at the market — buy young stock, sell what you have finished.

Tips & Tricks

Keep the processing units busy before you go shopping. Idle machinery is the real loss in this game: an animal that waits an extra minute to be sheared costs you almost nothing, while an empty dyeing unit costs you a whole cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I actually do with the wool?

Run it through the cleaning unit, then yarning, then dyeing — each stage raises what it is worth at market.

Can I lose the game?

There is no sudden failure. Neglect shows up as lost income and unhappy animals rather than a game-over screen.
