Piggy In The Puddle

A physics puzzle with one idea: the pig is round when it should roll and square when it should stop.

Piggy In The Puddle

One mechanic, executed properly. The pig is either round, in which case it rolls and gathers speed and picks up food along the way, or square, in which case it stops almost instantly. Every level is a question about where along the slope you should change from one to the other.

That single switch produces real puzzles. Too much speed and you overshoot the tub; too little and you stall on the way up the next rise. Because the physics are consistent, the solution to a level you failed is always visible in how you failed it.

The presentation is cheerful 2D cartoon work and the target is, of course, a bathtub full of mud. It is a small joke stretched exactly as far as it will go and no further.

Controls

Click or tap to switch between round and square shape.

How to Play

  1. Let the pig roll while it is round to build speed.
  2. Switch to square to stop where you need to.
  3. Collect the food on the way if the line allows it.
  4. Land in the muddy tub to finish the level.

Tips & Tricks

Change shape one moment earlier than instinct says. A rolling pig carries momentum through the switch, so squaring off at the exact point you want to stop always leaves you a little past it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the two shapes do?

Round rolls and accelerates; square stops almost immediately. Switching between them is the entire control scheme.

Do I have to collect the food?

No — it is optional. Reaching the tub is what completes a level.
