Cards are the quietest corner of this site and one of the busiest. Most of what is here belongs to the TriPeaks family, where you clear overlapping peaks by taking any exposed card one rank above or below the one face-up on the waste pile — a rule simple enough to learn in a single deal and deep enough to sustain thousands of them.
Alongside those sit two other traditions. Classic solitaire appears in its plain form, with a tableau, foundations and no meta-game attached. And tile matching — mahjong solitaire and its three-tile variants — sits here too, because the skill it asks for is the same one: reading a stacked layout and working out which move keeps the most options open.
The sequels are worth knowing about. Several series here run to four or five entries, each adding deals and scenery rather than changing the rules, so starting with the latest costs you nothing mechanically.
